About Vicky – I am a contemporary jeweller who draws inspiration from both antique and ethnic jewellery which is then channelled and worked in a modern fashion. I explore different traditions and my work uses images, symbols and materials which can affect the wearer on a poetic and unconscious level. I like to think that a piece can be worn as an amulet or talisman.
I established Vicky Davies jewellery over two decades ago after training at Middlesex University, gaining a BA in Jewellery Design. Every piece is handmade using sterling silver and semi-precious stones in my workshop in East London. I produce two new collections a year and also offer bespoke 'one off ' pieces in gold and precious stones. Over the years I have also enjoyed working and collaborating with other brands from the world of fashion including Fred Bare, Joe Casely Hayford and Olive loves Alfie.
Along with selling my work in the UK at outlets like EC1, Fenwick’s, Fortnum & Mason and Columbia Road I have showcased my jewellery at London Fashion Week and shows including Treasure and East London Design and recently Best of Britannia. My work has travelled the world and I have a creative and long standing relationship with several outlets in Japan.
My work has been worn and admired by personalities including Alexa Chung and Davina McCall and featuted in Vogue, Elle, Heat, Red and Marie Clare.
