MARCH - AQUAMARINE
Aquamarine is a stone of courage. It accelerates the intellectual reasoning process and makes one unconquerable through learning - not only of knowledge passed through teachers of the past and present, but of oneself. Aquamarine is the colour of water and the skies, with its life-giving properties. This stone is attuned to the ocean and helps us to get in touch with the nature spirits of the sea. Take some time, close your eyes, breath deep and remember sitting on the beach at dusk, the water coming in, the cool breeze. According to legend it has its origin in the treasure chest of the mermaids.
APRIL - ROCK CRYSTAL
The most powerful, versatile and multi-purpose healing stone! It amplifies the energy of all other stones and increases your emotional energy. I call this the poor mans Diamond, because it is so rich in every way except maybe material value. Amplifies, focuses, stores, transforms, energises. Perfect for focusing affirmations and prayers. . Recalls forgotten memories, solves problems, dispels negativity, finds capabilities we thought we had lost. All spiritual pursuits can be stimulated and amplified using this stone's energy. It helps you to be receptive to higher guidance.
MAY - CHRYSOPRASE
Is said to bring good fortune and prosperity, as well as business success. It facilitates self-expression, courage, hope, and the ability to use them wisely. Precious Ruby is also Julys birthstone. Its said to stimulate life force and vitality and enhance ones passion and fortitude. Ruby is the stone for love and royalty.
AUGUST - PERIDOT / SARDONYX
Olive to lime green in colour, Peridot is a magnesium iron silicate mineral with a hardness of 7 on the MOHS scale. Peridot was first named in Greece and since ancient times has been viewed as a symbol of the sun. It is said to confer the energy of royalty to the wearer. Also said to bring protection from the evil eye and bring wealth and prosperity.
AUGUST - SARDONYX
Sardonyx is a highly protective stone that embodies a vibration of happiness, optimism and confidence. It helps to boost your self control and your level of personal power. It has excellent properties that encourage motivation, willpower, discipline and strength of character. This makes it a good stone for anyone studying, or if you work in a job where you require mental disciple to focus on the task at hand. A very grounding stone. Also a stone of strength and protection. Use it to enhance willpower, integrity, stamina and vigour. It is believed to bring lasting happiness and stability to marriage and partnerships. It attracts friends and good fortune.
SEPTEMBER - LAPIS LAZULI / SAPHHIRE
Lapis Lazuli Stones of truth and enlightenment. These stones have been prized since antiquity and were valued highly and worn by the Egyptians. Ground to a powder and used in paint as well as used as a medicine in ancient times. A very spiritual stone and said to help with opening the third eye and activating the higher mind and knowledge. Lapis Lazuli is a useful stone to wear as it is said to relieve anger and negative thoughts, as well as easing frustrations causing anger.Said to resonate with the energy of the inner king or queen, and are historically stones of royalty.... and this crystal also helps to balance the male and female aspects of your personality.
SEPTEMBER - SAPPHIRE
The magnificent Sapphire, in all its celestial hues, is a stone of wisdom and royalty, of prophecy and Divine favour. It is forever associated with sacred things and considered the gem of gems, a jewel steeped in the history and lore of nearly every religion. Sapphire's were believed to bring protection, good fortune and spiritual insight. It was a symbol of power and strength, but also of kindness and wise judgment. Sapphires come in all colours and have different meaning according to colour.
OCTOBER - OPAL / TOURMALINE
Opal is an exceptional and unique gemstone with flashes and patterns of different colours. No two stones are alike. The name Opal is derived from the Latin ‘opalus’ and the Sanskrit ‘ upala’, meaning precious stone.Opals are made from hydrated silica material with a hardness of 5.5 to 6.5 on the MOHS scale. Said to carry the seed of holy fire and linked to good luck and hope. This magical stone helps to cleanse and rebalance one energy field and is associated with dreams.
OCTOBER - TOURMALINE
One of my favourite stones, Tourmaline is the newer October birthstone. The name comes from the Sinhalese word toramalli, which means “stone with mixed colours”, because it often has multiple colours in one crystal. Very few gems match tourmaline’s dazzling array of colours. Perhaps this is why ancient mystics believed that this October birthstone could inspire artistic expression – it has a colour palette for every mood. Among the most popular are the pink rubellites to the emerald green “chrome” tourmalines, and the neon green and blue-to-violet “paraíba” tourmalines. Tourmaline is perhaps Nature's best healing crystal of the physical heart. It is the masculine, or yang counterpart to the feminine Yin of the heart energies and enhances courage and strength, stamina and vitality. Green Tourmaline attracts luck, success, abundance and prosperity. It inspires creativity, and may be used to project, create and manifest one's goals.

Citrine energises every level of life. Also known as the ‘ Light Maker’. Citrine comes from the French word for lemon (citron) reflecting sunny and positive energy . Citrine gemstones are said to attracts wealth, prosperity and success. It imparts joy, wonder, delight and enthusiasm. Raises self-esteem and self-confidence.
